| The
Sheepeater Spirit Recurve is designed after a bow created by a
band of Shoshone Indians known as the Sheepeater Indians.
The short reflex static recurve was designed for hunting
sheep in the high mountain areas around what we now know as
Yellowstone National Park. |
| The
Sheepeaters' Bow was considered to be one of the finest bows made
by any of the Indian tribes. It was a short, highly reflexed
and heavily sinewed sheephorn bow.
Striving for
the "Spirit" of the Sheepeaters the Sheepeater Spirit
is a highly reflexed static recurve, with a forward, straight
torque-free grip. Braced the Spirit is 47" nock
to nock, light weight, smooth and fast. Great for tight
quarters on the ground, in the tree or just spot and stock. |
The
Sheepeater Spirit Recurve is custom built, to your draw
weight up to 70 pounds and draw length up to 30 inches. Your choice of riser
wood, handle style and laminate woods under clear glass on the back of the bow.
Sheep horn nock overlays finish off the bow.
